Motor testing
On 14 March 2023, initial functional and motor tests were held in Zagreb for 31 candidates who applied for the Post-Covid Swimming at PK Natator within the Post-Covid Swimming project, co-funded by the European Union.
The measurements were carried out by Associate Professor Dorica Šajber from the Faculty of Sport and her colleagues, as well as by PK Natator coaches and kinesiologists, with the help of external coaches and a doctor who had signed up for the training.
15.3. candidates started their 1st swim. The programme will run twice a week for 60 minutes/ 8 weeks and at the end of the cycle we will give a final test to monitor the individual progress of the candidates involved.

From 11-13 November, our club organised the continuation of the training for coaches and professionals for working with people with post-covid syndrome in the framework of the European project Post Covid Swimming with the support of the City of Zagreb.
The impact of the programme is aimed at improving recovery through exercise and water activities. To monitor progress, the project experts have developed tests to measure the progress of those involved in the post-covid programme. The training was attended by swimming club coaches, physiotherapists and senior kinesiotherapy students from the Kinesiology Faculty of Sveučiliště u Zagreb

Practical exercises
The Post Covid exercises for good swimmers were prepared by our partner from Serbia, Fakultet sporta i fizičnega vaspitanja Niš, and the breathing exercises were prepared by Professor Milivoj Dopsaj.

At the end of May, we meet in Novi Sad. Professor Goran Dimitrić hosted us at the Faculty of Sport and Physical Fitness, DIF Novi Sad, where he will prepare a battery of tests to measure the effects of post-COVID exercise on pilot groups. Co funded by the European Union. PostCov Swim

Kickoff meeting

Partners Swimming Federation of Slovenia , PK Natator and FSO Niš. We will develop a programme for rehabilitation after Covid through water exercise and swimming.
OUR PARTNERS
Altogether, three organizations take part in the project. The main partner is the Slovenian Swimming Association, whose mission is to offer professional development of the swimming coaches and professionals. The second project partner is the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education from Serbia with a wide range of competences in the field of researchscientific projects. The third project partner is Natator Swimming Club from Croatia, expert in the swimming programs development on the basis of Halliwick method with rich organizational and dissemination experience.
